Is it expensive?
We offer a range of water filtration solutions to suit your home. The cost of having a filtration solution fitted to your home depends on the effect you are trying to achieve and the complexity of the installation, given the site installation location. To gain a better understanding of how this process works, give us a call, and we can walk through the process with you!
Can Home Filtration Systems complete the service of my water filtration system once it is fitted?
Yes, of course. Home Filtration Systems will notify you of your service dates to ensure that you never miss out on the cleanest water being delivered to your home. You can decide if you would like to change the filters yourself by following our hassle-free filter servicing video, or you can give the team a call to arrange a date to have your unit serviced.
How often do I change the filters?
The frequency of the servicing requirements for your filtration system can vary depending on the quality of the water source you have chosen to filter. We recommend that for most mains water supply-fitted units, you change the filters every 6–12 months. Please see further directions on servicing requirements for your unit in the product description.
Does the water softening unit add salt to the water?
The water softener does not introduce salt into your water. Instead, it utilises salt solely during the regeneration phase to clean and recharge the resin beads. Once the regeneration process is complete, the system automatically expels any salty water before supplying softened water to your taps. This guarantees that the water delivered to your home is free of added salt, ensuring it is safe and appropriate for all uses. While it is correct that the sodium level may increase, this rise will be proportional to the hardness minerals that have been eliminated, and the overall change in total dissolved solids (TDS) will be minimal.
What is Chlorine, and is it safe to drink?
Chlorine is a widely used chemical for disinfecting water, effectively eliminating germs and ensuring safe drinking water. However, it does have its drawbacks. One concern is the formation of trihalomethanes (THMs), which are byproducts of chlorination and have been identified as potential carcinogens. Long-term exposure to THMs may be linked to various health issues. In addition to health risks, high levels of chlorine can adversely affect the taste and odour of your water, making it less enjoyable to drink. Home Filtration Systems are an excellent solution for this issue, as they effectively remove chlorine and its byproducts. By using these filters, you can ensure that your water is not only safe but also tastes and smells significantly better.
Which Home Filtration Systems unit removes fluoride from the water?
To significantly lower fluoride levels in your water, Home Filtration Systems provides the RO Series Reverse Osmosis systems. These systems can eliminate up to 98% of dissolved impurities, including fluoride, heavy metals, salts, viruses, bacteria, cysts, nitrates, chlorine, as well as unwanted tastes, odours, and chemicals. The ultra-fine membrane effectively works by rejecting these impurities and flushing them out to the drain, delivering pure and safe water for your everyday needs.
